Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how SongToVideo handles information when you visit songtovideo.app, use the free browser Audio Visualizer, create an account, or contact us. SongToVideo is currently a public beta. Server-side AI music-video generation, paid credits, and checkout are not available at this stage.

Information We Handle

We may handle the following categories of information:

1. Account information — your name, email address, authentication records, and account preferences if you choose to create an account.
2. Essential service data — security logs, request metadata, session cookies, and diagnostic information needed to operate and protect the site.
3. Privacy-conscious analytics — page and interaction measurements collected through our self-hosted Plausible Analytics endpoint. We use this data to understand aggregate product usage and improve the site, not to build cross-site advertising profiles.
4. Support information — the content and contact details you choose to provide when requesting help.

Audio and Media Files

The free Audio Visualizer processes selected audio and cover images locally in your browser. Those files are not uploaded to SongToVideo servers by that tool. Your browser may temporarily hold the files in memory while the page is open, and the exported WebM is created on your device.

Server-side AI generation and upload intake are disabled during this public beta. If those features open later, this policy will be updated before we accept media uploads and will describe retention, storage location, access controls, and deletion rules.

How We Use Information

We use information only to operate accounts and sessions, secure and troubleshoot the service, measure aggregate site performance, answer support requests, and improve the product. We do not sell personal information or use uploaded creative work to train third-party models without a separate, explicit disclosure and legal basis.

Sharing and Service Providers

We may share the minimum information necessary with infrastructure, authentication, analytics, and support providers that help us operate the service. We may also disclose information when legally required or when necessary to protect users, the service, or the public. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Cookies and Analytics Choices

Essential cookies may be used for locale, theme, security, and signed-in sessions. Plausible Analytics is used for aggregate measurement. Browser privacy controls, content blockers, or disabling JavaScript may prevent analytics requests without blocking the core public content.

Retention and Security

We retain account and operational information only for as long as needed for the purposes above, legal obligations, dispute resolution, or security. We use encrypted transport, access controls, and scoped production credentials. No Internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, object to, or delete personal information. You may also close your account. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Children

SongToVideo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy as the beta adds production generation, storage, or payment features. The updated date above will change, and material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
